Hi Guys, anyone know the correct pieces needed to go from a 072 Y switch into a MTH Duel Shed ??

Download the free version of AnyRail and experiment with the Fastrack library. I'd do it for you, but I don't know the center-to-center spacing of the MTH building.
Thanks I did try that and it looks like 2 5" in straight and 2 -072 1/2 circles but I only have one shot at getting the right pieces on order before Christmas so was hoping someone else knew for sure.
the shed is 5.25" apart.
thanks can you try that with a 6-12047 ?
Porche1662,
I think you are going to need to make some custom FasTrack pieces to make it all happen perfectly, the FT base is pretty wide for the MTH 2 Staller, please post some pictures, when you have completed your project, I am thinking of making one also.

For some reason my RR-Track software will not connect any track to the fast track O-72 wye piece, so this is a best guess. Fast Track does not have many 11.25 degree curve sections (only O-36, O-72, and O-84) . Of those, the O-84 fits best to get the 5 inch center-to-center track spacing of the MTH shed. Combo is the wye, then a 1.375" straight, then the O-84 curve. Maybe someone can try this on a different program to confirm.
Thanks Gunrunner. I agree and that what I will plan on doing. It seems like I aways need to order more of the little 1.37 !!! All my switches make me crazy figuring out the right combos.
Thanks !
Oh and not to be nosey. our profiles are almost Identical. You need to add a boat to the mix !!!
I am an FFL I have lots of fast cars and I am a private Pilot ! Im a boater during the summer in Catawba island
I tried Cappilot's configuration in SCARM and came up with a 5 inch track separation, center to center. If Porsche 1662's 5.25 inch centers for the engine shed is correct, then Cappilot"s configuration will not work.
Looks like a couple of others beat me to the punch. Oh well.

I've owned a number of boats over the years, but I don't happen to have a boat nowadays. We used to have a vacation house on a lake in NE-PA, and I had a couple of sailboats and of course the ski-boat for the kids and guests.
Just tried GRJ's method (two 1.375 inch pieces on each side of the wye), and the SCARM program set the distance between track centers at 5.5 inches. To get good fit, you may have to cut down two of those 1.375 inch pieces. Plus, if I remember the instructions correctly, they recommend a regular (right or left hand) O72 switch for proper track spacing.

Chuck, don't know what to tell you, but Anyrail measures the result at exactly 5.26", close enough to what he needs. I'm using the O72 half-curves, the O72 Y, and the 1.37" fitters. If my O72 Y wasn't buried somewhere, I'd give it a try on my bench...
I don't get those measurements with a plain O72 switch. Looks like 5.5" to me, how are you getting something different?
All,
I do not have an MTH dual stall engine shed, so I check the specs of the piece on MTH's web site. MTH says the spacing is 5" center-to-center which is what I used. Porsche1662, are you sure the spacing is 5 1/4"? If so, MTH needs to fix their web site.

You have to use the 120xx make up piece on each outlet of the wye. They are on the turnout menu just below the wye selection. I think there are a couple of other Fastrack turnouts that also require these pieces. I believe these are the pieces included with select turnouts. I started out to use Fastrack a few years ago, but went with Atlas instead and I have forgotten a few things...
Pretty close, looks like a tiny bit narrower. A slight "adjustment" of the track spacing will probably fix that.
Still don't know what I did with the O72 Y switch, it's around here somewhere...
