These are are photos of our 2nd layout. It is 8 x 16 with Atlas track min/max curve of 0-54 powered by Z-4000 running with DCS. The layout is in our basement. We are probably about 2 years into the layout. I am more surprised by my 12 year old son's patience(lol)!  He is the idea man, while I game plan and run the alleged budget that we have or don't have. hahaha. With all layouts there are somethings we wished we did or didn't do but, we will be wiser for the next one in the distant future.  We have Rail King engines Premier Engines and Lionel Legacy engines. We are from Long Island, so we have Lionel H16-44, Rail King 0-6-0 B Switcher, Rail King 2-8-0 Long Island Sunrise with passengers sets from Long Island and frieght. My sons favorite is the Rail King Sante Fe F3 while I prefer the Premier U30C CSX and the GP35 Burlington from Lionel. You can tell we use a lot of the same grass, trees and other supplies throughout the layout. (budget concerns)lol.

Mike, I like what you did with the landscaping here. Did you ever do anything with that 14x18 design we worked on back in early January?

We are still going through our plans for that. We are in no rush. We are about to finish this layout. Then we will set our goal on that 14 x 18 layout. The kid is really into it now because he sees that we are all most done with this layout.

Good morning, Nice layout.

I like the tank sitting I am going to assume a park.

I remember when I was a kid you seen this in many of the small towns here in PA.

That long street, I can see some Illegal drag racing going on Friday and Saturday nights !!!!

Something different,  again very nice.

I would not say a park. The Army Surplus Store is in the back ground, so we used it to show what the store has lol.  I also remember seeing tanks at small parks as memorials.  You have to have a little illegal drag racing going on right .
