Hello,

I have a Prewar Lionel 1666 with a tin coffin style whistling tender that use to be my fathers. I don't have the cars that go with this set so I'm looking. I believe the set came with a orange or silver tank car, a Baby Ruth box car with a red roof, and a red roof caboose (?). Would like to locate this set of rolling stock or a passenger set (or both) for my loco. Would like them to be in exc. shape to match the condition of the loco and tender. The couplers are the black box type that have a hood like pin that sticks out of the coupler (best way to describe it).

Thanks,

Bruce

The cars that you are looking were lithographed pieces. Lionel numbers: 2672 caboose, 2680 tank and 2679 boxcar. Greenberg prices ~$25 each. Lionel outfit #1193/1193W ca. 1941.
