i am hoping someone out there has an extra 10 pin tether. I have an older Protosound 2.0 that only has the battery, backup light, and volume control in the tender. It use a 9 volt battery. Anyone having said cable I will pay up to 20.00 for it.

Can you show a photo of the cable you need. Some have to be rewired into the tender, some have a plug on both ends, some are straight plug while others have 90* ends.
if you can us your engine item number we will know what cable harness you need. there were similar cables but were wired different and if you use the wrong one you'll burn up your electronics ps2 5 volt board! Alan
It is for a 9volt board and the part number is BC-1200092. The part is unavailable from MTH. The locos number is 30-1164-1

Go to MTH.com. Click on service. Click on parts. Enter BC-1000002 in the parts search and verify if that is indeed the part you need. Then if you are comfortable with Soldering it in let me know. I have a spare one in stock.
I just looked the engine up. It looks like you will have to splice in the BC-1000002 universal cable unless you can find the one that you listed. If you do the job yourself make sure you meter out the individual wires. DO NOT go by the color code of the wires. Bad thinks could happen.
