Railking 0-4-0 Docksider and caboose functionality with Lionel Controllers.

You'll get the basic control, and the whistle/bell buttons functions for locomotives with one or both sounds.

I don't think that 0-4-0 had engine sounds, but the caboose has audio.

I've never had any problems running MTH locos and rolling stock with Lionel CW-40s, CW-80s, and ZW-L power supplies.  Every one of about 45 locos from RTR starter-set locos to Premier has run perfectly.  I don't think you will have any problems.

       Yep, the Engine has no sounds, with the audio coming from the caboose.  Will the caboose sounds function from the Lionel controllers?

Good to know about the quality of the MTH RTR locos. I haven't had a chance to run mine yet, but compared to The Scout" loco, the MTH seems more substantial.  Not a huge fan of the Spongebob paint scheme. Maybe a repaint is in it's future...

They certainly should, it's a standard conventional set.

I've actually had a few more problems with MTH RTR locos than Lionel.  It's important to keep in mind that that part of the market is very price-competitive and RTR locos are always designed to a cost, with all that implies.
