Railking PA - very little traction

Could the center rail rollers be lifting the engine and are both motors working.

All my MTH engines are great pullers. Something not quite right. just have to find out what. Maybe take the shell off and turn both fly-wheels by hand to check for any thing binding.

I took a close look at the center pickups.  The plastic plate under the pickup roller assembly had flash that was preventing it from seating fully in the truck.  So the pickup roller was pushed out and angled a few millimeters.

I filed off the flash so the plate would seat flush, and now she'll pull the Shasta Daylight even up the most challenging grade on the layout.
