Thoughts...my layout is 7' x 18'  the backside is next to the wall.  the only way to reach the far side is to crawl out over the layout.  I was curious how do you handle this problem.  I have found this device...Topside Creeper Adjustable Overhead Creeper

I have just about made up my mind on purchasing this device, but before I do I would like to hear what all of yall think.

I have one and I would rate it as so-so!  One of my issues is that I have 30 "aisles in my layout and the wide stance of the base does not allow movement in the aisles.  So the only place I can use it is across the front of the table and it works somewhat but I fine the large unit more of a nuisance to pull out and use.

IMO is looks better than it performs.

Have a friend with one. It "works", but has some stability issues, as I recall. He is a big guy - not fat, but big, so heavy - and he says that it feels a bit tipsy. But it works, and has never actually "tipped".

Better to build the layout so that you can reach everything - yeah, and in a perfect world I'd have been born rich, too.

I have a Top Side Creeper and love it.  I am sad to say that I am just above 300lbs and have never felt unsafe even at the out most reaches.  I believe they are about $240. + shipping, no breaks on multiple purchases.  Well built.  I had to have one.  Legs are a bit cumbersome as they flair out as they get further away from the ladder and must fit under the layout by at least 4'.  Can fold up to slide under your layout if there is enough clearance under the layout.  Mine hugs my hot water heater perfectly.  Get one, you won't be sorry.  I got mine through MicroMark.
