I have a number of 18” Alum passenger cars and have recently pulled a few out of hibernation to find the side frames of the trucks are either broken or warped. I know it’s a known issue that likely been discussed to death….
HOWEVER, my question is around the replacements that are being produced currently (part: 6105356050) and if anyone has had any issues with the replacements having zinc rot issues. At $15 a pop I don’t want to purchase a slew of these only to have to replace them again in a few years…. Any comments/ feedback on recent replacement batches are appreciated!
