Sad to say, my lionchief FT-B 6-82303 smoke unit is non functional. My voltmeter indicates 4-6 volts is being applied to the resistor and the fan runs. However the resistor reads open circuit and appears to need replacement. Smoke unit picture is below, part number 691-sgsu-aoo (640-2500-200). Per the Lionel description of the smoke unit, it notes this is a 16 ohm resistor but no wattage rating and the resistor is not available anyway as a separate part. I would prefer not to spend $45 for a complete unit. Does anyone have a specification on this resistor? Thanks in advance.
