I've been looking for two items on the FOR SALE forum for quite some time but naturally can't be on 24/7.

So I was wondering if other than listing them on the WTB forum which I've do each month, does the OGR site have a feature where you can type in an item which will be saved and everytime that item is listed in a new FOR SALE post you'll be notified by email?

Even if it could be done, it would be dependent on the poster using the exact same terminology as you for a search function to work on it. Just be glad that you have free access to the forum with all the features that it already has. You can keep running free "want to buy" ads, and do advanced search on the for-sale items. Be sure to use fully descriptive terminology in your WTB ad to improve the chances of someone finding it with a search.

No, that feature does not exist. And, as Ace pointed out, unless you and the poster used the EXACT SAME ITEM NAME, it wouldn't work anyway.

i've got to say that if i were a seller, i would more than likely scan the "wanted to buy" listings after i posted my ad.  as long as you are fairly specific in the title (ie: model number, roadname, color, etc.) i'd hopefully find you and send you a message.  and i'm sure i wouldn't be the only seller who might think about or follow this practice.

I agree with you, overlandflyer, but I wonder exactly how many sellers make the effort to seach the WTB posts before listing their items FS. I say this because if you check this thread:      https://ogrforum.ogaugerr.com/d...nt/14523222170931756 I asked that very same question yesterday and only received one response. So I'm curious how many people do check the WTB lists or in their haste to sell do they immediately post on the FS forum?
