Well, I got nothing.

My dogs got something, though....

  • Cooper - got the powered F-7 UP and a matching dome car.
  • Rusty - got the dummy F-7 UP and a matching dome car.

Conicidentally, I was looking to get the same items.  But the dogs really are not into trains and even if they were, they can't use them.  So I guess I will just have to avail myself of them.  Talk about luck....

Vehicles to populate the Sawmill, Lumber Yard and Blacksmith Shop area in the round-the-room attic mess I call a layout.

[Gave myself the Store and Shop Buildings from Woodland Scenics.]

I got a

*History of the Railroad DVD

*3 Rail repair/maintenance book

*Two Railking Freight cars from Catoctin Mountain Trains (unfortunately, I bought the exact same cars when they came out! I'll take them back to Paul and switch them with some other things

*Catoctin Mountain Trains gift certificate (aka Blue Money).

*A few other non-train related items.

A funny thing this CHRISTMAS, I bought a set of WILLIAMS diesels for a friend from here on this forum. I thought he really wanted them.

Then how come CHRISTMAS morning they were under my tree? They weren't there CHRISTMAS eve?  Something funny here, did SANTA do this?? Also, I live alone, so noone else could have done this.

They are the HUSTLE MUSCLE SD-45"s, beautiful engines.

So for all the naysayers, there really is a SANTA!!

Well, i'm somewhat of a traitor this year, but only because I can't get the model in O gauge.  My grandma gave me a Bachmann GE 45 ton switcher in HO scale for Christmas, as well as a big oval of Kato Unitrack as an early Birthday present.  I have had a Bachmann Pere Marquette 1225 for a couple years, but it never got run much.  Now I can set track up a bit easier with the Kato system.

Sorry for the not so great video quality.  It's from the camera on my ipod in a dark room.

Santa brought me the Legacy 990 command set which is really fun to play around with.

Santa was very good to me. A Lionel Sante Fe 3000 Vision Line steamer, two LCCA vehicles (Sante Fe Divco milk truck-as nicely done as any Divco truck I have seen and a Texas Railroad Police car) and the new Atlas 2012 Coca-Cola Holiday truck.

My Bride outdid herself in making our first Christmas very special.
