This morning seen report of NS Patched Ex. Indiana Railroad SD9043MAC #7337 trailing 3rd on NS Eastbound Freight 34N. So I drove out to Rootstown Ohio to catch him. But before he arrived was an NS Eastbound Crude Oil with a New Leader NS DC to AC - AC44C6M #4043 & 2 BNSF C44-9W's #4024 & #5048. Then came 34N with 7337. Then later in the afternoon caught CSX Eastbound Freight Q394 which had 177 cars. This was in Paris / Wayland Ohio which is west of Newton Falls. He had a hard to find CSX YN3 SD70ACe #4833 leading. Also his freight had some great cars including an original Chessie System high cube boxcar. Then for the last train I took video and photos of was an NS Westbound Freight with 182 cars which I saw north of Atwater Ohio that also had fallen flag railroads including one grain car that's grey that had NYC New York Central reporting marks with Conrail. Overall, I'm noticing a lot more trains with varieties this year. I saw other trains but didn't record or take photos of them because they didn't have great power.

WOW What gives with all this "New Power" being rebuilt so quickly?
NS bought the IN Railroad SD9043's?
Poor old Chessie box car........
First off. Thanks Mike for liking my topic.
PRRHORSESHOECURVE: Yes, I agree with you there. During the month of March I noticed also a lot of EMD's. As for the rebuilds, there are a lot of AC44C6M's starting to rome. Plus the new SD70ACU's are out and about as well.
DOMINIC: Actaully I found out this morning by Train Orders, Indiana RR still has 10 operating. NS bought only 4.
DAVE: Yes, with though's 2 freshly repainted CSX boxcars in front of the Chessie High Cube I thought was a little tasteless. But in the railroading world, CSX or NS or others just grab a car or the car already in a set of cars and just take it. But one thing, I wish they would repaint that boxcar back in Chessie. But at least you can still see it.

Dominic, hope this helps. I got a response on Train Orders.
"In April 2016, NS acquired 10 SD90MAC's from CIT Group in trade for 15 NS MP15DC switchers. Of the 10 units, four were units that had come off lease from INRD. The roster info for the 10 units NS acquired:

Nice pics, thanks for posting. Glad to see NS is still running my old favorites, the ex-Conrail C40-8Ws with the modified radiators.

Paul, glad you enjoyed the photos. Once I have all the other videos done, I'll post them to this topic. Anyway, you are right about the Dash 8's. With the modified Radiators makes the engine look more muscle.
The Conrail car having NYC on it didn't mean it was from the Central did it? I saw a flatcar on a conrail local with NYC on it. I think it designates if the car went to CSX or NS after the Conrail split.
Joe, to tell you I believe it's still New York Central. Maybe it is what you mention, but that's what I always thought it was. Actually I'll ask that on train orders this evening along with watching the Cleveland Indians.
Also here are the 3 other videos from yesterday.
Well I got some answers on Train Orders regarding the NYC reporting marks - http://www.trainorders.com/dis...n/read.php?2,4263539

Oh alright. Yeah cause the local freight that I see coming on Conrail's Sayreville Secondary always has a flatcar with the NYC lettering. The car is used as a shoving platform in this case.
