I can't win.  My first CSX Theater Car had a broken truck side frame detail when it arrived.

The second arrived today in a crushed box with a loose rear corner ladder that scratched the car body.  The car was weighted down so hard that the plastic shell cover imprinted the car.  The design of the shell shows in the paint scuff on the side of the car facing the clear shell front.  Some heavy package collapsed the box against the front of the Orange box inside. The orange box has been creased in the middle.

My dealer has one more CSX Theater Car left.  Do I buy it?

This is why I do not sell or ship during the holiday rush.

Sincerely, John Rowlen

Chief Bob,  You are probably right.  My CSX F40PH #9999 needs a third RA Call Tag for service of the sound volume control.  Each time it returned with a new problem.  The first time they failed to fix the stuck roof hatch.  I had to open the engine to reach the run/program switch, then the smoke did not work.

I painted all seven CSX Executive 21" passenger car interiors and added Preiser People I painted.  The cars look great, but the engine to pull them has had issues and now some paint spotting on the roof.  I don't remember the spot being there when I sent the engine in the first time.  I will try again to reach Nicholas Smith Trains again, but they are only relaying messages to Joey who has been extremely busy.

I bought a second 4-car Union Pacific Challenger set when my first Observation came with dislocated windows and scratched glass.  The second Challenger set arrive today and fortunately the Observation is almost perfect, one small pit in the yellow paint.  I will inspect the other three cars tomorrow in better light.

Have a Merry Christmas.

Sincerely, John Rowlen
