Some day I might consider it, however if you add up all the items, not even including my time and labor, I honestly doubt you would be willing to pay the actual cost.

If anyone would have told me what I was getting into, when I started, I honestly don't know what I would have done.

For what it's worth, I love it and hopefully can finish the final details as soon as I receive the trucks from GGD.

For now I am laying track, which is a big deal. As soon as I finish my next section, I will post pictures. In the overall context it is a small section, only 12 feet, but it is still large.

As an addendum, I do have fire extinguishers in the room. I have no electrical hookup yet, just a bunch of hanging wires. SOMEDAY

Can OK make a Sun Lounge car without the fluted roof?

Some progress since last posting. Rusted rails, some places both sides, took 9.5 bottles of Floquil rust just for Fair interlocking. Applied ballast (roofing stones). Brownish for mainline, black for secondary. Track # 4 in Fair interlocking has been reballasted by section crew with new ballast. I have had 4 boxes of grey ballast, boxes are by volumne and price written on it is 0.29 cents. Probably Trenton Hobby Center on State street near Stockton in 50's.

curve ballasted

south end of station with ballast .

south end with ballast # 3 low platform installed and painted black (asphalt)board will be concourse to tracks, eventually

They may not be obvious, but if you look closely you can see many PRR minature signals in place.

Do not plan on more tracklaying now, but will glue ballast and GROAN begin wiring, both for power and Custom Signals. Shouldn't take more than several months.

I noticed the Pennsy signals right away!

Have you done the interior yet and what do you think of the car overall?

What trucks do you have under it?

Bob

I think it is great. Despite wrong roof, I can live with that.  A suggestion to fill corrugations on another blog great idea, but I am not first.

Re trucks, they are GGD from an old run.  GGD may have some left over from Broadway or Congo etc which may work.

Interior done a while back & with GGD leds above looks good.
