www.steamintohistory.com will be 18 miles/half-hour drive from York. A nice side-trip assuming they will be open those weeks.

On our way home on I-83 we decided to check and see if the Engine had arrived in New Freedom yet. To our amazement there it was on the siding at New Freedom, and the crew from the builder was there working on it. It is a beautiful engine!!!! What a sight - it instantly transports you back to the 1800's (yes you are correct, I did not take my camera with me today.Ugh.) A pretty good crowd there to watch, as well as the bikers on the Rail - trail there. Can't wait to ride.
This is very nice, thanks for posting

Here is a topic I posted not too long ago on this subject with the contents of an email I received from them about the start of their excursions.
Just dropped by this morning, loco looks terrific, oil-fired, two passenger cars.
One of the ladies in the company is a member of the TCA and is in touch with the TCA-ED concerning a shuttle bus from the Fairgrounds to New Freedom for members to ride during York.
Hope this works for them, some out-of-town people were asking if it went all the way to Gettysburg (no, it's a 10 mi roundtrip to Hanover Junction). At that, it's a longer trip than Strasburg. Time will tell.
Here is the story in our local paper in York today:
