Elizabeth asked me the other day what I would like Santa to stuff in my Christmas Stocking. Yes we do have stockings as well as for our dog, Cody. She knew that if it was to be a hit, it should more than likely be train related. I thought for a minute and a few easy things came to mind. I told her that you can never go wrong with die cast vehicles for the layout and a train enthusiast always needs smoke fluid. One can never have enough metal figures either.

So what do you want Santa to fill your Christmas Stocking with? I understand there is a shortage of coal this year because of what has gone into the Big Boys and other engines recently delivered, so you will have to think of something else. This thread might be a help to you or your family if they are struggling to find something appropriate for you.

 you get the idea

Tell you what Bob, you send it up here and we will come up with something Maine related. Hope you like it even if it growls.

Brian:  LOL!  I live in western PA.  Got plenty of bears (growlers) and pine cones, turkeys (complete with stinky poop), squirrels, deer (complete with nugget poop), so, unless you've got a small moose, I guess I've got all I need.  Thanks - Bob

So this is completely shameless promotion, but I feel it fits here.

We're offering our D-145 Lionel dealer mural, and exclusive Angela Trotta Thomas print, and a custom LCCA billboard with the D-145 on one side and Angela's print on the other side. All of this plus free shipping for $99 for our small poster which measures a foot tall and four feet wide.

Best part of all of this....... IT WILL FIT IN AND FILL A TRADITIONAL STOCKING!

Hi Brian

We have always had stockings. 47 years of marriage. We used the traditional way with oranges, apples, nuts ect. But, some of the most desired gifts just had little notes down in the bottom of all that stuff. The notes gave directions to the hidden gifts. Use to drive the kids nuts because we never put the stocking out until they went to bed.

Had a lot of fun fooling with them like that. Try it with your wife.

As for mine, I'm happy with anything actually. Glad there is a coal shortage.

A Butane Soldering Iron. It's got a pocket clip and a built-in rotary flint. There's no cord to get in the way. It heats up in under a minute and it fits nicely in standard solder spool so it won't tip over. I use and abuse mine and it keeps coming back for more. This would be a great stocking stuffer for any Forum member who doesn't already have one.

I asked my kids for some brass knobs for my new train work cabinet.

I saw them on e-bay.

That size stocking is sorta what I had in mind for folks, when I compiled my latest STOCKING STUFFERS EDITION for-sale thread a few days ago!

But a regular size stocking will do just fine for some of the items listed.
