I ordered four freight cars last January and just got a shipping notice for two of them. Wife thanked me for doing my own Christmas shopping. 
Truthfully, I had completely forgotten about the entire order. I went back and looked at my notes and all 4 items were supposedly in stock at the time of order and I expected to get them last February.
All four now say "Few Left." I guess was confusing stock level with the number of pre-orders they were going to accept?

Forgetting about an order has been mentioned here before. The long time between ordering and receiving just caught me (again). I ordered an Atlas car that I found out later I had already ordered one almost two years ago. I am going to keep it, told the dealer to make sure I get two different numbers.
I have 10 MTH "Special Run" woodsided reefers on order from 4 different vendors. I believe they will start arriving soon. I have printouts of the orders from the emails/website orders that I placed, but one of the vendors was a verbal order over the phone for 2 cars. I had completely forgotten about that order until this morning when I went on that vendor's website and saw the cars listed for pre-order.
That reminds me that I do not have a printout of the 2 John Bull sets that I pre-ordered. 
I try to keep good records, but I obviously failed!
The other two Vision Line boxcars also shipped! Thank goodness my grandsons LOVE "Pawpaw's" trains or I'd be in deep kimchee. Definitely blew the Christmas budget since they don't bill until they ship. The big kids are excited for a new switching puzzle so I better get busy.
