The TCA Convention is next week at the Lancaster Marriot at Penn Square in Lancaster, Pennsylvania.

My wife, Shawn, and I will be performing train-related songs and others during the cocktail hour from 6 to 7 PM at the Commonwealth Ballroom of the Marriot on Wednesday June 19th at the Welcoming Party, and Saturday June 22nd at the Banquet.

For those of you who plan to attend either or both of these events, please say hello to me after we do our set of songs.

Arnold - unfortunately I won't be attending the TCA convention, as I'll be preparing for a music camp that my brass quintet hosts each year for the past 21 years.  This year will be our 22nd year.    I wish the dates were different because Lancaster is pretty close to home for me and within reasonable driving distance.   The camp begins June 23 and runs through June 28.  There's a significant amount of preparation that must take place before the camp begins.

I'm happy to hear that you and Shawn are performing two times at the convention!!  I'm sure you'll be a hit with convention goers!   Have BIG fun!!!

When I first went to York in the mid-1990s, we took the steam engine ride through the Amish country, which is in the Lancaster vicinity.

During that train ride with my wife and young children , I remember the pretty young Amish girls smiling at us. That is a very nice memory.

I hope they will smile at us again when we are down there next week.
