After 35 wonderful years in the heart of Spencer, NC, it is with a heavy heart that we announce the closing of The Little Choo Choo Shop. We have been privileged to serve this community with our passion for model trains, and we are incredibly grateful for your unwavering support over the decades.
As we prepare to say goodbye, we want to extend our deepest thanks to each of you who has walked through our doors, shared your stories, and made The Little Choo Choo Shop a cherished part of your lives.

Sad and shocking to hear! I've enjoyed every trip I have made there to explore their store. Wonderful folks and an extremely nice shop. Being next to the museum made for a special trip. I wish them all of the best going forward into their next chapter!
Hope reasons are retirement, and not economic. Made it there twice and to the museum, with a Hickory Narrow Gauge Convention in reach. Makes you think about the shops you haven't visited and better get to soon. With news about food deserts in cities, we already have a train desert in many cities.
