Having heard many good things about this store from a number of folks in recent years, I finally had an opportunity to pay the Old & Weary Car Shop a visit. It did not disappoint in that it struck me as what I call a good old fashioned train store. There was a pleasant selection of equipment in each of the major scales and ample model building and layout supplies. Named in honor of the NYO&W, the store offers plenty of merchandise with an O&W theme. In fact, my purchases consisted of an O&W book and a special run Bowser HO O&W hopper kit done specifically for the store. There are operating trains and a Thomas table for the kids. The store is owned by very nice people and I was very happy with my experience as a first time shopper.

Here's the link to the store's website which is currently being updated:

And a video I found on YouTube which should give you a sense of the store's layout:

The store is conveniently located on Route 303 just a few minutes off Exit 5S of the Palisades Interstate Parkway. It's well worth a visit in my opnion.
