What switches are you using? Iam setting up my **** layout and all of a sudden my 022 switches are derailling everything. I have used them for 8 years with no problem.

What kind of trains are having the problems? Is a **** layout Marx, Bing, Ives? None of those are bad words on a tinplate forum... I use any type of switch in which the entire rail moves to line up with the desired route, as opposed to a more prototypical switch with a frog, guardrails and separate points. The older Marx switches are fairly common and inexpensive. That will take care of any problems with Marx "Fat Wheel" single reduction motors or older equipment with non-standard back-to-back measurements that tend to derail on a switch with a conventional frog and guardrail like the O22.
