Here are some Lionel GP9s pulling freight on the main -

After much back & forth, I really wasn't feeling this current setup, so I pulled it down during the week. Decided that the postwar display layout worked best for the space & it really had 'something' that made it special, so in a twist of irony, I am using my own CTT article to rebuild it pretty much exactly how it was. This should be fun - never had to compete w/ myself, lol. I must say, my wife was very understanding. This gives me a chance to correct some issues I had w/ the original one Live & learn

My goal - get back to this -

A few more pics from my recent PA trips -

NS GP40-2 3011 ( ex CR 3294) leads Lewistown bound local C42 through Huntingdon, PA - 11/22/14

NS SD70ACe 1100 leads 10N past HUNT Tower on the Pittsburgh Line- 11/22/14

Norfolk Southern's newest SD60E rebuild (at the time) leads eastbound 12G around the sweeping S curve in Tyrone, PA on the Pittsburgh Line. NS 6987 was rebuilt from the infamous NS SD60 6666 - 11/22/14 -

NS 37A rounds the S curve at Tyrone, PA w/ NS 8-40C 8313 (ex CR 6048) leading - 11/22/14 -

Before leaving, wanted to get a few more shots at Mid-Grade on CONUS Lines.

1.  Upon arrival a Bakken oil shale train of MT tank cars was rolling downgrade as an eastbound double stack, partially obscured on the far track, worked upgrade.

2.  The caboose of the westbound oil train (all CONUS Line trains, regardless of era, run with cabooses) was just clearing as the Distributed Power Unit appeared on the far track.

3.  Patience rewarded!  Got the shot I was looking for, NS Heritage (PRR) ES44AC #8102 serving as the DPU on an eastbound stack train.  I packed the camera gear in the car, and headed west.
