This past week I was working on various projects.
Finished up my #42. Actually, technically the club's #42 since it doesn't belong to me.

Almost done with the club's #33. I had to order paint on line since the orange color I started with got discontinued by many of the stores

I know the photo below looks crazy. I used paint to solve an issue I have been having. I am running 2 TIU's with 7 MTH power bricks. I have wasted lots of time tracing power plugs and the barrel plugs to find out which brick belongs to which. Now the bricks will have matching colors on each end. The tape will be removed leaving a stripe on the top and in the front.

Boston & Maine K-7c Class 2-8-0 #2403 was built by Alco Schenectady in May 1910. It remained in passenger service around Boston until at least September 1954 and was the last 2-8-0 to be retired by the B&M. It was scrapped in June 1955.

My die-cast model of Boston & Maine Consolidation #2403 was made by Weaver and is shown running conventionally on my 12’-by-8’ layout.

Progress has started on the first mountain, beginning with covering the gaps between tracks on the lower portion using cardboard supports and crumped construction paper attached with hot glue. Next will be to begin the plywood support/skeleton structure of the main portion of the mountain. Later I will cover the paper in plaster cloth. Then Rock molds. Then paint. Then ground cover/trees.

Just finished painting some bare MTH RDC shells for a friend, and the real engine at the rail museum. Interesting markings on the inside of the shells. Masking to get the correct line of the stripes on the nose was a real challenge.

And a O British Club was set up at our train club recently. Nice little switching layout.

TGIF - After unloading two boxcars these fellers  are about to call it a day as the  last crate is being hauled away by the tow motor.  Rufus Klang, sitting on the boxcar door sill, and Pops Flanagan are talking about stopping off at Willy's Watering Hole for a cold brew on their way home.  As soon as  G Jay Waters delivers the crate to an awaiting truck and parks his fork lift for the weekend, Pops and Rufus will clue him in to their plans. It is an Atlas O refrigerator car. As you can see, it was used by the Boston & Maine Railroad to store ice for use in its air conditioned coaches. I have never seen or looked for information on this car but I am a member of the B&MRR Historical Society and shall see what I can find.

As a prelude to the Christmas Midnight Mass at the Cathedral of Saint Whatshisface, the choir sings on the front steps accompanied by the chamber orchestra that finds themselves performing with a guest tuba player that has just escaped from the Christopolis City Zoo over the stone wall to the left.

Yesterday, the modular group (River City 3 Railers), entertained a group from a local nursing home/assisted living facility.......a great time was had by all.....

Then, take down of our 21x47 and 6x15 modular layouts......in two weeks we will load them onto our trailer and take them to the Keystone Tractor Museum in Colonial Height (along I-95 between Richmond and Petersburg) for a two weekend show.

Received my Chessie passenger set from 3RD Rail yesterday. Unfortunately one car has a short that I'm going to have to find. I really wondered how the full width diaphragms were going to work and I'm happy to say they do seem to work although they really look goofy on curves.

The end steps come packaged separately and will take quite a while to install. The interiors are very well detailed. I see a real opportunity to add more detail and passengers to the interior.

Thanks Ron. The A unit at the nose of the train and the B unit right behind are both powered the other two units are non-powered. I had a very hectic Thursday and Friday and could not get a post up sooner. I’ll post more information about them next week, because I did some upgrades and other work on them that might be of interest to those who check out weekend photo fun.

Looking forward to seeing your upgrades.  Those Sharks look like Lionel's Legacy units.  Mine are the Centry Club TMCC units, but it looks like Lionel used the exact same shells on both.  Since I am pre-1950 I am looking at making mine a truer BF-15 by taking off the nose ladder, replacing the horn, and sanding off the front/pilot mounted sand filler (for some reason they put both pre-1950 and post-1950 front sand fillers on it).  Unfortunately, nothing I can do about the vents.  Just not sure I can match the paint.

Here are mine.  I do need a B-unit and was wondering if the Legacy B would run well with my TMCC AA.  At least mine have the as-built 1949 paint scheme.  Not sure when Pennsy went to the smaller letters, probably starting in late 1952 after the vents were installed.  An issue I am not going to worry about is it has a BF-16 cab #.
