Nice shot of the Garden RR'd. I always thought one had to "secure" out door track to the ground. Do I see the track simply laid on the ground/mulch?

YES.....not many Dino sightings recently!!! I was thinking about it the other day......good to see you all back!

The WIHABL RR's CNJ ALCo RS-1 (from AtlasO) is back in service after being down for a headlight replacement...

Yeah, the track is just sitting right on the mulch without being secured. Most of the track joints are screwed to the rails helping them stay together, but the mulch actually compacts a bit under the track locking it in place.

I also usually leave the track out all winter. In the spring I usually have to make some adjustments from the frost heave.

Work in progress:

We have a Kitchen Layout.  Finally started scenery work (first attempt at scenery ever).

Joe...thanks for the compliment!  The "Moon" in the photo is actually a lighting fixture that hangs from the ceiling over the stairwell.  The globe is about a foot in diameter and by using a flood, I was able to get the camera to focus on the picture of the station and make the fixture off in the distance look like a full Moon just rising....It surprised me how well it came off!

I've never tried O gauge outside but I would give it a shot. A small test loop would work.
