Who has the new Broadway Limited Imports operating water tower?

I bought two, one had to be returned as one of the spout pivot pins came out and the water spout fell off and an internal arm fell out.   I still have to tryout the replacement one, but so far it looks good!  A big Thank You to TRAINWORLD for replacing the broken one.

These are pretty cool.  The first one works great, thus far I am real happy with it.  I will checking out the replacement one tomorrow.

I considered purchasing one of these BLI water towers. But after looking at the photographs I decided not to as it looks to "toy like". 

I have one as well, but have not taken it out of the box yet.

I'll try and post photos when I do.

That water tower looks nice but give a look to the ones made by David Duhamel at Crescent Locomotive works. IMO Dave makes the best scale water towers. Not trying to hijack the thread but just reference another quality design.

I just purchased the Santa Fe version. Here are a couple of shots right after we ripped out the switch tower that was in that spot. It work great. 

I have one and love it!  WORKS great and sounds great.  Looks awesome!  Of course I did not measure it and compare it to a real wooden water tower.   As Im sure not all of them are created equal.

Can you use A/C or is it D/C only?

I hooked mine up to the accessory terminals of a CW80.    But I think the directions gave both options.

My biggest "nit" is the chain detail. Its just hanging there not attached to the spout. I prefer the full chain and counterweights like the MTH and Lionel scale towers. 

I may wait and see the result of MTH's new slower operating mechanism along with sounds.

I don't want to rain on anyones parade though, glad folks that bought them are enjoying them.

It was a great  first effort for Broadway Limited offering O scale structures. I hope they continue to offer more in the future.

RickO, that explains it.One of the reasons I bought it is because it seemed to have that "HO" style of detail to it.Thanks I will watch for more from them.Nick
