Who is buying MTH's new spirit of Union Pacific engine and cars

My wife might not like it, but I'm going to find a way to get them all!

Has anyone seen what the cars are going to look like? Can't seem to find any pics on MTH's website. Just picturing it in my mind, I think this engine will look cool with the George Bush engine.

I'm definitely in for the loco/caboose combo, as I think it would work well with my present military consist.  

As for the freight cars, we'll need to see what they look like and decide accordingly.  I'm not a collector by any means, so whether I buy the freight cars depends if they'll call my name -- not because I'm trying to own something that might be "highly sought after" some day.  I've been around the hobby long enough to know that type of stuff changes with the wind!

But the loco/caboose are a definite buy!

David1, great idea about a military discount both for those in service at this time, and of course retired service members. American Honda offers a significant down payment for those that have served or are serving at this time. Looks like a really nice set to have. Happy Railroading

My only question is RK or Premier ?

I think they look great and as for the cars the Air Force and POW/MIA are a definite sight unseen!

I just love the concept.  

I can definitely see the Premier version runnin' on my "pike".

I see that responses are few  ( 1 ) especially when I suggested a discount for vets. I only did it because beings the engine and cars are in celebration of the military why not offer a discount to the people who have served this wonderful country.

III have talked to a few Other vets and they think this would be a wonderful idea for MTH to do. 

Of course you will have to prove  that you served by either your DD214 or a VA card. Here is hoping MTH.

I ordered one of each. I'm hoping it has 3/2 trucks so I can put high rail wheelsets on it

I saw the engine at Trainfest as well today. While I don't care for the camo on the butt, the engine looked nicer than I expected.

I will have to say, I'm gonna have to get me one of those.

Were you able to see if they did the POW-MIA paint on the area of the rear lights like the real engine?   Engine looks great and will definitely order one but curious if they were able to add it.  Thanks.  David
