Saw this in Eola Yard Aurora Illinois today. I hadn't seen this railroad before but a google search says it's from Virginia from 1941 to present.

It could also be from New Jersey. The W&W has grown some from the days when it was hauling stuff out of the hills of Frederick County and northeast West Virginia to rail connections in Winchester.
I have seen those going through Fostoria Ohio during the summer on CSX. There is another one of their hoppers that has a WW logo on it that looks nice.
Bulk sand shipments used to be their main source of revenue, in both Virginia and Jersey...

The reporting marks indicates the car belongs to the Unimin Corporation, a wholly owned subsidiary of global industrial minerals company SCR-Sibelco of Belgium.

Winchester & Western has a branch that runs through Cumberland Co. New Jersey.

Better photograph those engines while you can. Omnitrax has bought the WW.

Yes, W&W was recently sold. Their present office is located in the old B&O train station in downtown Winchester. They are building a new office complex in nearby Martinsburg, WV I believe. In this area they hold sand in hoppers like the one in the pic in earlier post. Sand mine located Gore, VA. Sand moved via W&W from Gore, thru Winchester, Martinsburg to Hagerstown, Md & beyond.
There is still good sand in South Jersey - I see those hoppers going by to CSX in Camden to travel hither and yon. The sand is some of finest for quality glass.
