World's Greatest Hobby Train Show | O Gauge Railroading On Line Forum

On Saturday, my wife and I attended the World's Greatest Hobby Train Show. It was held at the San Mateo County Fairgrounds Event Center in San Mateo, California (about 30 minutes south of San Francisco). I believe this is the first time it's come out to the West Coast. It was a great time! Lionel, MTH and Williams/Bachmann all had booths. There were many other hobby shop and products booths for everything from G to Z scale! They had a large O scale display layout. Lionel and MTH also had smaller O scale layouts. There were demonstrations on layout construction such as how to use rock molds and how to make waterfalls. We even had lunch in one of the two restaurants in the building. The Boss even let me buy some goodies! Here are some pics and videos from our adventure. Enjoy! Matt

the show comes to san diego (del mar) about every five years. was just here on Feb 9 & 10. great time, our AGTTA club had a layout.

Caught this show in Atlanta some time back and it was very enjoyable. Big crowds and lots of children.
