York april 2015 wish list

I wish

A- They would open a white castle in York

B- Marty becomes a Jet fan

 

My wish list is to simply find the time to attend and bring my son.

 

Really hoping to make it happen this FALL.

 

When I do make it, looking for some woodside passenger cars, scenery materials, and some newer chessie passenger cars and rolling stock.  And to take it all in!

I wish there was enough room to bring my guitar for the slow times.

3. Stop in NJ for pizza.

Now for the train stuff:

1: John Daniel PRR Standard Gauge heavyweight dining car.

2: A few new Ross switches, both O and SG.

A-Great health

B-Ben becoming a Patriots fan.  Ted Bertiger has been giving it some thought.

C-Finding some K-Line passenger cars I do not have.

D-A red  MTH 263E.

E-I have beers promised by Gunrunner and Locolawyer.

Catching up with fellow forumites and adding some Arttista figures to the collection.  Anything else, like most Yorks, will be spur of the moment buys as you never know what you will find

The York Meet is where all your wishes come true!  For me, it's a constant. I always find new treasures (or they find me) and it's one big week long party! 

Depends whether I win the Powerball between now and then!

Mostly accessories and parts.  Some smoke units. Super-Chuffer boards, Z-stuff accessories, any New England rolling stock I don't have and If, a big IF, any steamers I come across at a great price.

Frank, those are very difficult to find. I have only seen them once years ago in Orange Hall. I didn't have the cash for them then. Bummer.

1) My son wants me to buy the standard gauge 4-4-0 General.

2) I would like to find a standard gauge observation car #190 without paint or a crappy paint job for a project-really cheap.

3)Lionel Western Union 4-4-0 or the Area 51 set or both.

Scott,  a friend of mine has all the cars nib.  I might have to try to convince him to sell one day.  I've yet to see a set or the add-on car for sale.  I imagine they only made 25 sets or so.  (Really no idea, but probably very low).

 

I have the MTHRRC 400E and 392E and every MTHRRC 200-series car.  I'll have to keep searching for the comet cars.

My shopping list gets smaller every year as I usually find one or two items on it at York.  I'm down to the hard to find or very expensive items.

I gave up making a list.  York turns out to be such an educational experience for me.   As it turns out, I always end up learning about all the things that I didn't know I wanted or needed. Sometimes I feel like such a dope being so uninformed.

I would love to find a  MTH 20-4047 Frisco Will Rogers 5-Car 70' Madison Passenger Set, I think this set came out sometime around 2002. The set has the following cars in it: Baggage Car - 360; Coaches - 759, 766 & 770; Observation Car - Fort Smith.

 

My wish is to meet as many OGR guys as possible, while searching out some Pere Marquette items and some G scale Aristocraft heavies to convert to PE.

I have an order in with Glenn Snyder for some shelving.

That is where most of my York money will go.

Other than that I am just looking forward to the feeling of contentment that York brings me.

 

 

If I could go, a complete set of K-Line UP 18" cars.

Great breakfast at Round the clock Diner, good time with friends, a great supper with WIFE.

Looking for a Big Boy and other big steamers.  Also, Chessie-theme may be on.

 

 

A Good Foam Engine Cradle  for servicing my engines and rolling stock.

 

I keep missing the booth that has them each year!

 

Yes, I know I could build something, but got to many other things on the plate right now!

I wish I could go.  I just bought a couple of engines and a gondola and a military model on ebay.  I kinda blew my stash on that stuff now I won't be able to afford to go to York this time.  Ohhh well,  it was worth it to me.

I forgot one item on the wish list, actually it's 12 - Maple Donuts.  And sure I can justify driving 600 miles or so for some donuts, ballast, and a few buildings. Makes sense in my mind.

I have been placing a few orders for pick up in York....  I might need to rent a trailer as my list continues to grow.....

Pretty funny, but I suspect there is some truth in that statement. Look forward to seeing you there.

I'm still trying to get a New Marx, 8-wheel, "Bunny Bread" Boxcar. I'll also be looking for prewar American Flyer stuff- my new obsession!

 

Aside from these, just spending the day with good friends is enough to make me happy!

Obviously I'd like to find the majority of the money I brought still in my wallet at the end of the day...

 

I've always like the MTH Evolution Hybrid with the charging lights. If I can find a dealer with a Railking Imperial version, I'd likely grab it.

 

Otherwise, a few odds and ends I do need to get such as a station platform, smoke fluid (want to try Jeb's Big Boy Blend!) and I'm sure a few things I DON'T need!!!

 

Safe travels to and from York. Really looking forward to getting up there Friday.
