Does anyone think Lionel will equip their Ethanol tankers with Kadee compatible mounting pads anytime in the near future?

They are on the new 86' box cars so why not the new Ethanol tankers. I think Lionel is coming around on equipping their new scale cars with Kadee pads.
It won't happen all at once but at least they are going that way..
You have to ask on the Lionel website and the Lionel facebook page.

I wouldn't even bother asking Lionel. The tooling was created a few years ago and that would have been the time for the Kadee mounts.
For these tankers, I think that ship has sailed.

In my opinion, the key point there is "the new 86' box cars". Are the "ethanol Tankers" in question "NEW", or have they previously been issued?
That's my thought too Martin,have you ever converted any of these tankers to Kadees or Protocraft? Any Lionel conversion would I think be the same process,I'm only guessing,as I'm COMPLETELY NEW to the O scale field.

Thanks all for your inputs on the Lionel 30k ethanol tankers. Has anyone ever changed the Lionel couplers over to Kadee body mounts? If so,what are the steps required?
There's talk&only that at present,that double shelf couplers like the Protocraft couplers,might be on the way,is why I ask about Lionel conversions.
Lionel makes some REALLY NICE scale rolling stock,but from what I've read over the last few months,they're a bear to convert over.

The tanks are new but they're the only tanks of the 30k variety I've ever seen on any site. The companies listed are PROCOR,UTLX,ACFX&ADM. I have a stock # on the ADMs which is 6-27992

Martin is correct, the Lionel 30,000 gallon tank cars came on the scene several years ago.
Be advised that while these Lionel tank cars are nicely detailed they only weigh 13 1/3 ounces. That makes them lighter than Lionel's 40 foot steel sided reefers and very, very light for a car that is nearly 60 feet long.
