Happen to stop by the Amtrak station today check out the schedule. I was lucky enough to catch two MOW vehicles. A non stop Acela heading to NYC, flew by at least 100 plus MPH before I could hit the video button on the cell phone.
You'll see a Gent on the platform who comes every day to see at least one train. Retired conductor, rail fan now... Not interested in a layout though'...
Hi guys, I started to write comments for all the great photos and realized that I haven't been on here since the 12th! I would be here all day!
But I do want to say that you all have amazing photos from the rock climbing to the barrel of fun with everyone! Heck Dave even got in some dirt digging, I have to say that sure is some nice looking dirt!
I hope everyone is doing well and is getting ready for the long weekend!
FOR TODAY: These fellers got some real work to do today! Good thing BIG HOOK has been called to assist. This photo must have been taken as the guys get back to work after break ... as Judd Semple is still sitting on the flat car deck taking the last gulp of his Frosty Root Beer. For the rest of the guys it's back to work! Foreman Nick Crane, in yellow hard hat and back to camera, gives instructions to Junior Custer who stands on the flat car. The fellers back around BIG HOOK are working out a slight mechanical problem before she swings into action. .... just another day on the railroad!

Patrick, sure looks like Nick Crane is working those guys just a little too hard! They should be next door shooting some pool! LOL

FOR TODAY: Now that the summer holiday is " officially" over, passengers line the station platform waiting for their trains to take them back home. ... just another day on the railroad!

FOR TODAY: The night shift. Ellsworth and Homer are the only MOW crew on tonight and there's a full moon too! 
Lead singer, Abagail DuMonde, sings the national anthem at the start of the performance'.
Five Cent hot dogs are todays special at the stand'.
Dusk falls on the park and there's still a nice large crowd enjoying the festivities'...

FOR TODAY: Stop Look and Listen. Snapped these photos this morning while riding my bike. It's Monday morning and the crew of this a local freight has set out its' train on a siding so the locomotive could back onto the service track to take on water. Off in the distance, on the tender deck, is fireman Ernie Bob who skillfully performs the task of filling his tender's tank. 
Monday morning down at the station reveals the usual activity of a Monday morning. B&O train number 123, comprised of three RDC cars is shown pulling away from the station heading west. Commuters sit patiently waiting for the east bound commuter train B&O 124. Conductor Bill Jameson ( far left ) waits to board B&O train number 2, Free State Limited, where he will deadhead back to Port Chesapeake, his home base.

Coach Joe - If you ever get tired of living in the woods Patsburg will welcome you with a fanfare of trumpets and locomotives whistles/horns!! You'd be a welcome addition to our community
FOR TODAY: Another fish story .... Conductor Jasper Joe Plunket is at it again. He's standing on the rear deck of his caboose telling another one of his whoppers! The fellows on the ground find Jasper Joe to always provide interesting entertainment ... like today .. " I tell you what. I went a feeshin this past weekend up on Blue Gorge Lake. Those feesh were a biten too! I caught me some really big feesh and the shortest one was this long! I kid you not! I kid you not!! " ... just another day on the railroad!

@p51, Lee, just a note, I read your great article in OGR The Magazine run #326 and liked it very much. Your military themed layout is really nice, great scenery, very realistic and thank you for serving our country, We honor you. I live 10 minutes from Ft. Campbell if you catch every red light, 5 minutes if I catch all green lights. I need to make up a military train as that’s on my bucket list. Happy Railroading Everyone

Mike G the pit is built into the base of the building and I framed out a recess in the benchwork that the base fits in too.
Here's the base with the bottom removed.
And the building mounted in the recess.

If you research unpainted G scale figures it's probably still available somewhere.
