Now Ted, this photo is a sight for sore eyes on a sweltering night with temperature hovering in the low 3 digits.  I'm walking up to that ice cold soda machine while sliding my right hand into my pants pocket in search of dime.   Great photo!!

I always liked getting a bottle of pop out of the Coca-Cola ice water chests.  I do not remember them selling for 5 cents, but I do remember paying a dime at the general store.

 Mark, you are so correct.  The water filled ice chest coolers had the coldest sodas back n those days.  I remember .10 &.15 Cents.  There was a Gulf station we used to walk to in the summer to get those ice cold sodas'... 😁
