I have been a subscriber to OGR Magazine for most of the past 25 years.
About 1 year ago, I had something to offer that I thought would help promote OGR Magazine and the entire hobby, so I called this Magazine's leadership for the first time. I got through to Alan Arnold. We spent the next 40 minutes discussing my creation, model railroading and our mutual passion for model railroading. Unbeknownst to me at the time, Alan had just started in his current position as Publisher.
After listening to me, Alan suggested, among other things, that I check out this on-line forum. I am very grateful to Alan for making this suggestion.
I had never even visited any kind of on-line fotum, chat room, etc., before my telephone conversation with Alan 1 year ago.
Within a very short time, I could see many good things about the OGR Forum: members eagerly helping fellow forum members who reach out for advice; members offering encouragement to those in the process of building a dream layout; members sharing information, photos, videos, etc. about their beloved trains and layouts; and most importantly, members, who may tend to be lone wolves like me, making connections with many other enthusiastic, fun-loving and knowledgeable hobbyists throughout the World!
In my opinion, OGR Magazine Forum is wonderful in every way. Thank you, thank you, thank you, Alan Arnold, for telling me about it 1 year ago.
