I have both the Hobo Tower and the Hobo shack. My dad Gave them to me I guess 10 years ago. They are my favorites; I have made a whole section for them with home made campfires and sound systems with country sounds on our Christmas platform. By popular demand they are always requested by my sons. I have a button prominently placed for viewers to activate the scenes lonely harmonica player.
I haven’t seen to many for sale come to think of it. I wish Lionel would add to the series.
Wasn’t there a dilapidated Water tower in the series that that stood by itself and had a rotating swimmer in the tower tank?
Not sure about the swimmer but I've been looking for one for about 2 years. They can be to find find at a good price. I'm pretty surprised how well it sounds.
I'm pretty sure Lionel did not make one with a moving swimmer, as far as I know I do not have one and I have all of the modern Lionel accessories. I have have this one which came out in 2005. There are 2 men lounging in the in the water that is in the tank.
They should have made a "Petticoat Junction" version too.
I'm sure the rights to the song was outrageous. But it would be cool!
Not showing up?
I can see it just fine.
Thanks Marty! I always wondered how the harmonica sounded.......its great! Now the only problem is I want one.
And that's 1/4 volume. Much past 1/2 and it starts sound bad.
Never mind it was the App not seeing it, shows up on the browser

Sad part I tipped Marty off it was on the board after Jim Sandman told me about it (he knew Marty was looking) I guess I should have bought it myself instead of taking care of Marty
after seeing you make the deal the other day , i chuckled and said to myself -Marty finally got that tower. Just dont use a insuated track section to turn it off and on and it should last a good while. Its actually a pretty soothing blues tune.Enjoy!
Are you coming saturday for the pittsburgh OGR breakfast in Murrysvile? Email me

That sounded plenty loud in the video Marty, far louder than I would have expected for a 1:48 man blowing through a 1:48 harmonica
The speaker is in the bottom of the water tower so it's fairly unrestricted. I am pretty happy with the sound quality.
Glad you was able to get it and it worked out. I might try to add the sounds to my smoking Hobo shack. May be enough room to hide speaker & board inside.
Jim
