I am looking to convey coal from a pit to a coaling tower that would be used at a power plant. I have the conveyance, I will have the pit but I dont have a coaling tower. The coaling tower would be located like a water tower at a high point at the power plant at the end of a coal conveyor, only of course, it holds rough coal that would be dropped into a pulverizer.

The tower diameter should be 2-1/2" to 3" and 3-4" tall with tapered end at the bottom.

There are threads on wood or concrete coaling towers to fill hoppers or a tender. However, this is not what I'm looking for. Can't seem to find anything from Plastruct

Like Dave says, plastic pipe (the white stuff) of the right diameter will work.  You actually might be able to use a straight plastic pipe union if you can't get a short piece of the pipe itself.  Browse through the housewares dept in Wal Mart or the dollar stores for a small kitchen funnel.  It might be just the thing for the tapered bottom.

Scribing lines in the plastic pipe and using some .020 plastic rod in the scribed lines a welded silo could be done easily. Or turn the pipe in a lathe and make it look like a corrugated silo/hopper. For an older look maybe a wrapper of .010 plastic with rivet lines

embossed for a older steel silo. Lots of options!!!
