Gentlemen

Recently I was looking at several vintage Athearn and All-Nation Boxcar kits at my LHS.  All the Athearn box car kits had 4/5 Dreadnaught ends and the All-Nation kits had Pullman style ends.  Did each manufacturer use those style ends exclusively or did I just happen to see kits of a particular style or era?

I would think they used them depending on the type of car they were offering and which RR owned it.

That might be an overly generous assumption.  The All-Nation kits that I saw had Pullman ends and Murphy rectangular panel roofs, not a likely combination.  The car data was not very accurate either.  None of that is very surprising given that these kits must be 40-50 years old and accurate information was much harder to obtain.

Thanks everyone for the replies.
