I was saddened to learn today that Barry Keener passed away last week. He operated Barry's Train Shop in Elizabethtown, PA , first on S. Market St near Rheems and later at the square in E-town. He was also a fixture in the Purple Hall at York for years. I spent many hours hanging at the shop talking trains with him , his staff, and the regular customers.

Really sorry to hear this. Nice fellow and I did a fair amount of business with him when we lived in the Hershey / Hummelstown area. May he Rest In Peace.

Really sorry to hear Barry's passing. For several yrs I had a table in the purple hall, just across the isle from Barry. He was a great guy and easy to deal with.
