With the value of many original pre & post war boxes exceeding the value of the contents these days, I was wondering if anyone here has come up with a suggestion for a great mending tape for loose flaps, etc.? So many household and even commercial packing tapes these days, seem to "leave town" after a few years. Anyone have some better suggestions? Thanks!

I use Linen Hinging Tape - it's acid free, has a high cotton thread count and the adhesive is acrylic. There are various manufacturers - you can find it at artist supply houses.
You might also want to check with your local librarian. Tape and glues used for book repair might work as well. Hielsie
