Buy anything cool lately?

I recently received this from a special order through the Train Loft in Winston-Salem, NC (MTH Premier Reefer):

I too purchased the western electric car. I love it.  As I'm also a current employee of Verizon with 17 years. I always enjoy hearing about the old bell days from the older crowd.

I was glad to see what I thought was a wine car for a change...........but on another post I was devastated to find out that Cheerwine was a soft drink !!! 

Don't know if it's true ....but hey....we don't have to have an ADULT beverage to parr teee.

It is a cherry flavored soda that was created in North Carolina.

Tis good dat the younger generation can join us.  WE does have to drag them from them pesky puters . .  oh wait my hypocrisy. I'm on one of them darn things, should be working on my kit bash SP three car diner set.

Picked up Lionel 17590 Penn Central PS4 Flatcar at Greenberg Show in Wilmington MA this past weekend, I believe this was only available in a set .

Here's the 28th Anniversary Set with the 2 extra custom-painted cars. Until the K Line Hudson is done, my MTH Premier Hudson or Williams Niagara (on the siding), both expertly converted to PS3 by gunrunnerjohn, will pull the 7-car train.

Most Excellent, While The Rod action is fantastic. It didn't take anything away from the passenger cars.  Watched three times, brings a tear to the eye

Guttersnipe, do you have these cars? If you'relooking for them, there's a set on ebay the last I checked. This is my favorite of all the K Line heavyweight sets. 

Thanks for the information, however I model western United States and try to stay with in those parameters.  That is however precisely what I'm looking for, but within the SF or Up guidelines.  Thankyou again and keep em rolling,

Picked up this MTH Premier uncatalogued Union Pacific Auto Carrier with four (4) black diecast Ertl porthole T-Birds at a good price at the Greenberg Show in Wilmington, MA this past weekend.

Trying to decide if I should re-paint in B&M colors to go with my NE railroad collection.

As a fan of kit bashing, a BM repaint would be appropriate, but definitely a nice find, enjoy.
