I have a section of the layout that is an elevated semi-circle. I could not do it with fixed radius curves. I had to do it with some Gar Graves flex to make it work smoothly. With that done, i'm ready to replace the good old 2x4 blocks that holds it up. I really like the deck plate which shows the entire train in cluding the ties that overlap the outside girder bridge plates. I need to make a large template to take out to my wood shop(garage) for making a smooth subroadbed cut. If i can use the outer rails as my width, the template will be easier to make. The span in its entirity will be about 9 feet. I'll be using 1/2 inch plywood as the subroadbed.  Can I use those outer rails as the width or do I need to make it wider? Thanks for any feedback.
