bought a bulldozer at an antique store with missing tracks.
took a bicycle inner tube and sliced off some pieces and
stretched them over the wheels. look and work great for flat car loads.

I don't like calamari. I thought you cooked your inner tubes.
Check out automotive belts, small equipment belts with the rounded teeth or visit the local auto repair shop for old belts. Some timing belts are narrow and not too thick.
Nice dozer. I have purchased a small fleet without even thinking about it. I didn't know I liked heavy equipment that much, but I guess I do now. They do look good around railroads and as loads.
Ymmmm Calamari, but in our family C is for Cannoli, great to munch on while running trains at shows.

I do. Especially with garlic-laced olive oil. BTW, good idea about using a piece of inner tube to replace the tracks.

I had an old toy digger that's track dry rotted off long ago! So I built it into a flat car load with a crate holding the tracks for installation onsite. I think it turned out ok. I like your solution too!
PS... Calamari fried with some marinara sauce please!
