Another March, another Pittsburgh Home and Garden Show!  Once again this year the Ft. Pitt Hi-Railers' modular layout will be on display for the public's enjoyment.  This year we're set up in a 42 x 54 foot configuration with some interesting new features and scenery.  This is a GREAT chance to put trains out in front of the non-train-people general public.

Check out our Facebook page for setup pictures from last week.  I'll take some photos of the finished product and post them here tomorrow.

Be sure to stop by the 2nd Floor Lobby and say hello!

Here's a shot of us setting up last Tuesday - taken by Tom Moore:

Some quick shots from today.  The crowds were excellent.

Most common questions/comments heard from visitors:

- "I didn't know these trains were even still made!"  (Usually followed by inquiring where they can buy / fix them...)

- "How long did this take you to set up?" (About 10 hours)

- "Where is this set up the rest of the year?" (It's usually stored in a bunch of our basements and garages)

- "I've got my dad's 1947 Lionel in original boxes...it's probably worth a lot of money" (Well...probably not, but maybe!)
