Like Pete said, concrete really isn't a single color. IMO it looks best with some variation in shades of gray and tan colors. Dipping a brush alternately in white, tan, and a little black, and mixing right on the surface gives a good varied effect that's easy to control and adjust as you go along.

 

You can also sprinkle a little very fine white sand on the wet paint for a little texture.

Since you are not using a rattle can, ignore this...but I use an almond color and

a cheap primer gray, sprays, from Walmart now, as Home Depot and Lowe's seem

to have gone to more expensive spray paints and a brand I don't like..to get

different effects, I may put the gray on first, or the almond, and, like some of the

excellent photos on here, pass over it in areas with of "rusty primer", sprayed.  I

would not hesitate to vary that with a different "cream", "tan", or darker gray, if used

lightly.
