Looking for an SD45 powered and dummy units, preferably in the Southern Pacific or UP name. I know Williams made this. Anyone got a set lying around?
Thanks, Kevin

Kevin, would you be interested in MTH ProtoSound 1 units? I have the Premier PS1 Great Northern SD45’s available, road numbers 400, 401, 402.
Hi - I’m looking for a powered and dummy unit. Do these come in that configuration?
Thanks.
MTH hasn't yet made a SD45 in Southern Pacific
They have made SD45 in Union Pacific "Scaleking" and Premier Powered & Dummy (I would avoid the early undersized railking model).
EDIT: The Early Premier which later became "Scaleking" was the only version available in Conventional, Horn only or PS1.

Thanks for this! Do you happen to know the MTH model number? I haven't been able to sleuth it down.
20-2106 Early Premier SD45 (not available in non-powered) PS1 or horn only.
20-2915 Re-tooled Premier SD45 (available in PS2 or non-powered)
30-20419 Scaleking SD45 (Same as Early Premier SD45, but improved with scale fuel tank and painted handrails). Available in PS3 or non-powered. MTH refers to these as Railking Scale.
30-2360 Scaleking SD45 (Same as Early Premier SD45, but improved with scale fuel tank and painted handrails). Available in PS2 or non-powered. MTH refers to these as Railking Scale.
30-2152 Is the Shorty (027 style) SD45.

Excellent, thanks for this great info!
What is your opinion of the Williams “double headed” SD45 sets?
Great to see a bit of west coast presence here. I’m down in Pebble and there is no O gauge happening anywhere around the Monterey area. This forum is my sole source for info that has helped me get my layout up and running after 30 years in boxes.
Kevin
The Williams are good pullers - Some early versions have FM train master style sideframes. Some early versions also had no flywheels.
They are unprototypical due to wide carbody, they are enlarged copies of the old Athearn Blue box SD45.
The Great Train Show was this past weekend at Pleasanton, there was some great deals on Williams diesels (under $100).
