Can anyone tell me what the CSX Number Series is for their 5161 cvd hoppers?

I've taken photos of these hoppers,& so far,out of the 10 cars photographed,I have the lowest number of 261048 ending with 262503,as my highest number. The cars built with the "Grain Express" Logo, were in the 265000 series.

Thanks in advance, to all who have information for me.

Paul,

Thank  you VERY MUCH.

Am working on renumbering my 5201 CSX cars as I have 20 cars & only 1 set can be left as is. Have 1 car done, not the most professional but I think it looks good. Any chance of getting car number "overlays" as Accurail came out with for their HO hoppers about 20 years ago? They made all their runs in 1 car number, then supplied many multiple numbers for grain trains.

Thank you also,VERY MUCH for making the SCL/yellow 4750. I have 3 on order, will leave 1 as is,re stencil another for SBD and another for CSXT.

Any chances of getting a few SCL/Family Lines System hoppers in the 243000 series,Lot 1110, and the same in L&N/FLS in the 242000 series,Lot 1110B? These were made in the '80-'81 time frame. I'd buy these in numbers as originally done, then I'd re stencil a few for CSXT.

The 3510 hopper you folks did in O Scale of a SBD/Seaboard System car was great,I have both numbers, but would also like to see Seaboard System done in the 4750. I would buy a few original SBD cars then re stencil a few, too. I sent some photos to Atlas' O Scale R&D Dept.,& he was pleased, but haven't heard if these cars will be done anytime soon or at all. Would,in my opinion, make great O Scale models.

Thanks again,Paul
