Greetings to all. I recently discovered the above on Facebook and wondered if any of you have experience with their sales or service. I will be moving to the area there within the next 18 months. Thank you in advance for your replies!

Great folks, lots of inventory, used and new. Plan on spending at least an hour or so there. Don't know about their service. They carry some N, a moderate amount of HO, lots of O and G scale . Lots of LGB too. They also have an extensive collection of old toys in the back area.
I've been to the store twice; definitely worth visiting. The people were nice and they had a lot of stuff.

Dale’s is right in my back yard, although Mr.Dale is no longer with us, ( he’s sorely missed ) his wife is running a tight ship, She’s doing a great job, and greets every customer as they walk in the door, ......as mentioned above, plan on needing an hour to soak it all in,....lots of postwar in the back, and pretty much everywhere,.....prices are very fair given it’s a good old fashioned brick & mortar train shop,....a must see in the Norfolk Va. area,....

Stopped in while on vacation this past summer. Super friendly, lots of inventory of various vintages. Lots to see, leave yourself some serious time.

Scott Smith lives in Roanoke, Virgina, which is in the middle of the state, and not in Norfolk which is on the coast. The two are several hours apart.

Roanoke is in the mountains and probably + 4 hours from Norfolk. Relative to Dale's, worth a visit but the inventory is a jumble. Also it has the NOS syndrome noted in a recent thread. Things have been there forever and still the original price from the age of the dinosaurs.
Didn't realize Dale had passed, last time I was there during the spring, I spoke to his wife for a good hour she really like to talk trains and help find what I was looking for. So much so she actually went upstairs to look through some new items they just got in. Sad to hear this....

Great shop.Dale passed away last year but his wife is running the business and she is great to work with and VERY knowledgeable about trains.
We live in Suffolk, about 35 minutes away. Ordered an engine last night from Mr Muffin, another at Christmas. Enough said.

Dale’s is a top notch shop with great selection and outstanding service. They also provide very reasonable and professional repair of old and new trains of all scales. I have been a regular customer for years.
