DCS & LEGACY APPS; BOTH WORK WITH SAME IPAD ?

Lionel's WiFi box will connect to your home wireless router. So effectively it can be part of your home network. If the MTH box can do the same I would think it could be possible. 

I asked MTH Facebook if the MTH APP could store more than 99 Engines and he said that he thought it could, but has to ask the designers if that is correct..

Dave Hikel would know. He is developing the App. He'll chime in her I'm sure once he gets back from York. 

Since I run both Legacy and DCS I am also very interested in the answer to Gardner's question. I talked to both developers about their individual systems but didn't think about running them at the same time (Legacy engines on one track and DCS on another) until I was driving home.  

I would think you can Run both Command Systems on one track, MTH` system can now do that with TMCC if you have a Command Base wired in..

Interestingly enough, now that Lionel is going to use 3rd parties, who is to say Dave Hikel couldn't create a universal app to run both from ONE controller. IMO it is now closer than ever. Not sure if Dave is exclusive to MTH but you never know. 

I don`t have an IPHONE, IPAD or ROUTER, but does anyone know if there is any particular Router specifications you`ll need for the MTH and LIONEL WIFI Signal..?... Also can you run the IPAD and ROUTER without a Subscription to a Carrier..?...Thanks..

The carrier I`m thinking of is a Wireless Phone connection, that`s expensive... Also when you connect a Router to your Internet [Wireless or Ethernet] does the IPAD download the APP wirelessly and can the wireless connection to the IPAD open the possibility of an APP to update Software in Engines and the Remote and TIU Wirelessly.?...Thanks..
