Did anyone ever try MTH Proto 3.0 on a Legacy System?

I am looking at an MTH with Proto 3.0 and was wondering how well it works with Legacy. When you have Legacy with a TPC 300/400, you can have control over MTH 2.0 engines(works pretty well). I don't know if Proto 3.0 is too new, but was wondering if you can have the same type of control. I really don't want to go into DCS at this time. thanks

PS/3 accepts the same command set as PS/2, so if it works with PS/2...
