I do every time. The problem is getting them to hear and honor the request. When I say "Reading" they run screaming into the night claiming they won't sell enough. Yet I see them build much lesser-known, odd-ball road names all the time, and there is NO way they are selling enough of those.

So realizing it's likely just road name bias at the decision-making level, I quit asking. That said, for some unknown reason, Lionel did decide to offer up a new Reading T-1 this year.  And I was one of the first to open up my wallet, even though I didn't ask for them to build it.

If I were still asking, it would be for the Reading N1 2-8-8-2.  Lionel's done the Pennsy Y-3, so they'd have something to start from, yet I know the N1 would never see the light of day in Concord. And I doubt 3rd Rail would go here, even though you'd think it would be in their wheelhouse, based on some of the small lot, odd-ball stuff they've done over the years.

Sorry to be negative. You unknowingly struck a nerve.

I would like The Aerotrain in Reading Crusader and a Reading BL-2

I was requesting a Reading and Northern 425 for a while, and when Lionel announced it, I preordered one right away. After seeing pictures, I wish I hadn't. Anyone want to buy one NIB?

I'll still preorder anything that I request, as long as it isn't crazy priced and is properly done.  (non-green and yellow Rutland caboose to go with that 2-6-0 Lionel)

Not as high ticket as some of the engines mentioned here, but on the toy train front, if Lionel ever makes nice large diesels painted for Warner Brothers (Looney Tunes) or Disney (to pull all the separate sale rolling stock that has been released over the years with nothing offered for sale to pull them), I'm in (preferred with Legacy, but if they cheap out with LionChief, I'd most likely still buy).

The last Disney cars that had an engine to go with them (less those in some starter sets) were the boxcars from the early 90's (the EP-5/caboose offering).  Since then they did all the operating cars (aquariums for Nemo, Little Mermaid, Aladdin, chase gondolas for Toy Story, 101 Dalmatians, etc.), as well as a newer series of boxcars that they made about 5 (maybe 7?) of before stopping.  When I asked about such an engine before these cars were made I was told they stopped with offering such licensed items because the fees were too high.  They have since re-started such offerings, so that is apparently not the insurmountable issue at the moment.

As to WB (Looney Tunes), the only engine ever made was for the somewhat limited availability starter set that was sold in the WB stores (probably around year 2000).  Even if one can find such a set, that engine would not be able to pull many more than the cars that came with it, much less the whole set of all WB offerings from the late 90's to early 00's.

Last item would be the similar mechanism introduced for the control tower about 10 years ago (nice geared motor instead of vib-rotor) adapted to work with the radar tower.  I made my own kit-bash for this quite a while back, but I'd buy one if they offered one made that way (as much as I hate Plug-N-Play, I'd still buy one of these).

When I did my earlier post I forgot about my Train of Tomorrow.  I did say I would buy it if it was produced; it was and I did.  Still waiting for the Lionel scale PRR T1 (production, not prototype), MTH scale Texas and Pacific 2-10-4 "Texas" in American Freedom Train colors (the 3rd Rail is great, but I need mine to run with MTH "helper" diesels), Lionel scale PRR E6 4-4-2 in post war colors, and PRR F3 Phase 2 Early in as delivered colors.  The latter two should be easy; not sure why they haven't been done.  Anyway, I will buy them if produced.

That said, I'm still hoping for a CF7. Santa Fe, LA Junction, and a couple of branch lines. Even saw a couple of them working the line next to the York Fairgrounds. I guess they'll make one right after I cut up a GP9 and fabricate a cab and hood.

Matt? REALLY?? A CF7???   (There is no Graemlin for shudder)

The only time I wanted something to be made in 'O' gauge, I said I'd buy one or two of them (price point), and I will if I'm still here on this planet.  A few sounds are great, but all the assorted electronic "goodies" are not needed for this small loco.  Picture below is a Forney.  (By the way, there are at least two that I know of on the forum, every day asking the manufactures to make something.  So far, I noticed they have not posted to this thread.)

Bachmann makes this Forney steam engine in O scale. It is narrow gauge,so it runs on HO track, but it is O scale.I am guessing you want one that runs on O scale track, but the Bachmann engine is something to consider.
