So I'm getting ready to finally pull the trigger and upgrade to digital control. I'm going to get the CAB-1L and plan to upgrade my current Williams BL-2 and MTH PS1 GP-35 locomotives. My plan is to use a Cruise Commander board for control and a RailSounds board for sound. My questions are:

1) Which RailSounds boards should I order? Neither the BL-2 nor the GP-35 are listed as options - any opinions on what might sound best? I'm not concerned with prototypical accuracy.

2) Has anyone converted a MTH PS-1 GP-35 or Williams BL-2? Any advice or links to guides/videos?

3) My MTH GP-35 has a smoke unit - what's the best way to empty that before I start the installation?

Hi

The sound board for the bl-2 use the alco 420 it would most like be the best for that.

The sound board for the gp-35 use the gp 7/9 board.

You can go to ther web site and listen to the sounds and go from there.

just go to purchase and click on rail sound comander it will bring you to a page were you can hear them.
